This Privacy Policy explains how TrueHands (“TrueHands,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the TrueHands mobile application, this website, and related support services.
Information you provide
You may choose to enter or create information including:
- Horse names, breeds, sex, age or birth date, color, diet, notes, and other profile details.
- Measurements, weight estimates, timeline events, and measurement notes.
- Horse photographs, measurement photographs, Coggins documents, and scanned PDFs.
- Your name, email address, and message when you contact support or submit feedback.
Camera, photos, and LiDAR data
TrueHands may request access to the camera, photo library, and supported-device depth or LiDAR features so you can take photographs, scan documents, place measurement landmarks, and calculate measurements. These permissions are used only when you choose the related feature.
How information is stored
Horse profiles, measurements, photos, and documents are stored locally on your device. TrueHands does not require you to create an online account for these records. Information leaves the app when you choose to share, print, export, save to Files, or submit feedback.
Your device backups may include app information according to the backup and privacy settings you control through Apple.
Feedback and support
If you email us or use a feedback feature, we receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your contact details, message, device model, operating-system version, or diagnostic context. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, improve TrueHands, and evaluate Beta measurement performance.
How we use information
- To provide horse profiles, records, measurements, documents, exports, and other requested functions.
- To respond to questions and support requests.
- To investigate bugs and improve usability and measurement performance.
- To protect the app, website, users, and our legal rights.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your horse records with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or to service providers that help us operate support or website functions under appropriate restrictions.
Website information
Our hosting provider may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and security logs to deliver and protect this website. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before they are used.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete a horse and its associated records from within the app. You can also delete the app to remove locally stored app data, subject to any device backups you control. Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, improve the service, or satisfy legal obligations.
Children’s privacy
TrueHands is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no device, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode and keep its operating system current.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TrueHands develops. The effective date at the top will show when the latest version applies. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
