Common questions
Start with a quick answer.
Which iPhones support LiDAR measurement?
LiDAR capture requires a supported iPhone Pro or iPad Pro model with a LiDAR scanner. Manual records and other app features may still be available without LiDAR.
Why does the whole horse need to remain visible?
The app needs a clear side profile, visible feet, level ground, and correctly placed landmarks. Cropping the body or feet makes the geometry less reliable.
Is the calculated weight exact?
No. Full Body & Weight is a Beta estimate based on the acquired measurements. Use a calibrated livestock scale when an exact weight is medically or operationally important.
Where is my horse information stored?
Horse profiles, measurements, photos, and documents are stored on your device unless you choose to export or share them. See the privacy policy for details.
How should I report a measurement problem?
Choose Measurement Accuracy or Beta Capture in the form and include the expected measurement, the result you received, phone model, lighting, distance, and anything unusual about the horse’s stance.
Can TrueHands replace veterinary advice?
No. TrueHands organizes records and provides measurement estimates. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional veterinary judgment.
