Effective date: July 16, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the TrueHands mobile application, website, and related services. By using TrueHands, you agree to these Terms.
Purpose of TrueHands
TrueHands helps users organize equine information, record measurements and events, store documents, create exports, and obtain measurement or weight estimates from user-entered information and supported-device camera or LiDAR data.
Not veterinary or professional advice
TrueHands does not provide veterinary, medical, nutritional, legal, or other professional advice. Information and estimates from the app are not diagnoses and should not be used as the sole basis for treatment, medication dosing, transportation, feeding, purchasing, insurance, breeding, or other consequential decisions. Consult a qualified veterinarian or other appropriate professional.
Measurement and weight estimates
Measurements and weight calculations may be affected by device capabilities, distance, lighting, camera angle, horse position, landmark placement, movement, coat, background, LiDAR coverage, and other conditions. Full Body & Weight is a Beta feature and may change as field testing continues.
You are responsible for reviewing results for reasonableness and confirming important measurements with an appropriate physical method, calibrated scale, or qualified professional.
Your records and responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, for maintaining appropriate backups or exports, and for obtaining permission before recording, storing, or sharing information or images involving another person or someone else’s horse.
You agree not to misuse TrueHands, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, violate applicable law, or use the service to harm others.
Documents and sharing
TrueHands can store, scan, export, print, and share documents such as Coggins records. You are responsible for confirming that a document is current, complete, authentic, and accepted by the relevant veterinarian, authority, event, transporter, or destination.
Ownership
TrueHands, its branding, design, software, and original content are owned by TrueHands or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the app as intended.
Third-party services
Features such as device backups, email, printing, Files, App Store distribution, and website hosting may rely on third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Availability and changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, including Beta features, as the product develops. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrueHands is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or noninfringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrueHands and its owners, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of records, loss of profits, or harm arising from reliance on an estimate or inability to use the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as TrueHands develops. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
